Position Description:

In the role of  Program Manager I - Cancer Center Shared Resources you will beworking in the Cancer Center.  

Purpose

Work independently, under the direction of the Geospatial Epidemiology and Outcomes Shared Resource (GEOSR) Directors, to manage the activities of GEOSR. Provide direction and guidance to the team to facilitate the achievement of the program’s goals, including cost accounting charges, establishment of iLab for scheduling and billing, coordinate shared resource meetings and activities working in consultation with the Associate Director of Shared Resources and the Cancer Center Director of Finance and Business Operations. 

Primary Functions

  • Operates autonomously in the space of project management with authority over team resources to ensure project deliverables align with approved scope and schedule.
  • Executes the planning, development, and implementation of the project working in partnership with GEOSR leaders and clients to meet the strategic vision of projects.  Effectively manages implementation schedule and priorities and delivers high quality solutions.  Provides direction to clients and project team.
  • Manages relationships across several resource groups to support the functions of GEOSR, including representation at standing shared resource meetings at MCW Cancer Center and MCW.
  • Responsible for scheduling, coordination of meetings, setting meeting agendas, and managing communication with clients.
  • Manages and organizes data acquisition across multiple sources, including securing and updating data use agreements.
  • Coordinates and organizes GEOSR finances, including budgeting, invoicing, and assisting in generation of client quotes in collaboration with GEOSR leaders.
  • Oversees and guides regulatory compliance including institutional review board submissions, revisions, and maintaining project approvals.
  • Establishes and evaluates Shared Resource policies, procedures and resource plans for potential changes, including measurement and reporting of key program metrics.
  • Coordinates external facing resources, including marketing, website management, development, and updates.
  • Supports GEOSR leaders in identifying areas for program growth, including assisting and organizing grant proposals, scientific writing, and client growth.

Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis

Minimum Required Education: Bachelor’s degree

Minimum Required Experience: 2 years

Preferred Education:  Health Sciences, health care and research, bachelor’s or master’s in education or business/management  

Preferred Experience: Program Management, , iLab,

Population Sciences, Data Science Field: Program Coordination or Management
