PROGRAM MANAGER-HSOM

Position Summary:

As part of UAB Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCTS) , this position will be responsible for developing and  managing several new and expanding programs in the Center.  Operating with a high degree of independence, this position will address a vital need in the CCTS by organizing, implementing and tracking programs related to peer review, program evaluation, grant development and pre- and post-award grants administration.  Responsible for activity planning and execution. Oversees special projects on behalf of executive leadership.  This role will serve as a liaison between the CCTS and faculty, staff and trainees at the UAB and across an 11-institution Partner Network.

Salary Range: $45,395 - $73,770

Bachelor's degree in a related field and three (3) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and confident.  The individual must be highly organized, a team player with a great deal of initiative and common sense.  The person should be punctual, positive and precise.  The position will benefit from previous life science (laboratory) research experience.  The candidate should have excellent communication skills, both written and oral.  Incumbent will have some experience in programmatic data coordination, quality control, introductory-level analysis and  summarization.  General understanding of Qualtrics, Excel and similar tools is beneficial.
