The Stanford Center for Professional Development (SCPD) , part of Stanford Engineering, seeks a positive, highly motivated, customer oriented, and team-focused Program Manager to join our team and manage the delivery of custom and executive programs to a global audience. In this fast-paced environment, the successful candidate should have the ability to manage multiple programs, possess a strong attention to detail, thrive in a deadline driven environment, and possess exceptional communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to effectively and inclusively interact with people across cultures.

The successful candidate will support multiple programs that are part of a portfolio of programs delivered live virtually, online asynchronously, and in person on Stanford's campus. The Program Manager will work closely with experienced SCPD Program Managers supporting a variety of clients, faculty, learner, and stakeholders at all levels of the organization. In this role, individuals will interface with Stanford faculty, departments, global clients and participants, and be the primary contact for vendors and service providers. During live virtual and in person events, it is expected that the Program Manager will be responsible for making decisions in the best interest of the program, the attendees, and the University.

Given the global and customer-facing nature of our work, this role may be asked to occasionally work early mornings, evenings and/or weekends. Your responsibilities include:

  • Execute product/ program plan definition, and detailed rollout schedule, including collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Deliver an experience that leads to high customer satisfaction and advocacy for the program.
  • Provide learner/participant, client, faculty, and stakeholder communication, logistic, and technical support in all phases of program planning, implementation, and closeout.
  • Conduct analysis based on learner evaluations and program results and make recommendations regarding the direction of the program.
  • Actively participates in efforts to improve processes, programs and business across the department.
  • Secure, plan, and coordinate program delivery with faculty and speakers and program support with service providers
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute a marketing plan, assessing, and revising as necessary to meet goals.

Education & Experience (Required):

  • Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (Required):

  • Experience with managing products/programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently to meet expected deadlines and schedules.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand the target audience to deliver an offering that meets their needs.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Education & Experience (Desired):

  • Ability to form inclusive and equitable working relationships across cultures and lines of difference.

Working Conditions:

  • Occasional work on evenings and weekends.

Physical Requirements:

  • Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
  • Frequently stand/walk, sit, use a telephone, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, speaking.
  • Occasionally grasp forcefully, writing by hand.
  • Rarely sort/file paperwork.

Pay Range:
The expected pay range for this position is $86,000 to $118,000 per annum.

The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.
