Manages the overall administrative operation of the Specialized Masters programs.

  • Assists the Associate Director with overall operation for the Specialized Masters graduate programs. May have delegated authority to make decisions affecting programs' operations.
  • Coordinates the planning and implementing of the delivery of student services. Coordinates registration and scheduling issues, billing concerns, payment and collections Specialized Masters programs.
  • Aids in the dissemination of academic information to currently enrolled students/prospects, and maintains the degree audits and graduation certifications.
  • Serves as the merchant account's primary contact. Handles sensitive cardholder information and/or processes credit cards transactions for the department/unit.
  • Assists in conducting information sessions, class visits and interviewing candidates for Specialized Masters Programs. Works with candidates through the entire recruitment process.
  • Supervises, develops and coordinates the activities of direct reports.
  • Interprets university administrative and/or fiscal policies and procedures. Provides recommendations on procedures for the unit to improve administrative and/or fiscal operation for the programs and office site.
  • Manages admissions process for Specialized Masters programs. Makes final admissions decision for the candidates with collaboration of Associate Director and Faculty Director.
  • Interacts with Specialized Masters candidates and to insure that any admitted student results in an enrolled student in the program.
  • Manages the course scheduling and class permits for the Specialized Masters Programs in collaboration with college's scheduling office and FIU Online.
  • Manages, monitor and approves the expenditures of the department within the allocated budget . Works with different vendors for any purchases needed.
  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate specialization and four (4) years of related experience, or Master's degree in an appropriate specialization and two (2) years related experience.
  • Experience working in Higher Education.
  • Experience working with PeopleSoft, Canvas, Salesforce, Adobe Connect, Customer Relationship Management software (CRM) and/or ImageNow applications preferred.
  • Experience in recruitment and/or prospect development.
  • Supervisory experience.
