Program Manager - Clinical Research

Creighton University’s School of Medicine is seeking to hire a Program Manager within the Department of Clinical Research and Public Health in the Clinical Research Office.

This is a full-time salaried role working on the CUMC/CHI Bergan campus.

Responsibilities

 

Facilitate Clinical Research:

  • Assist students, residents, fellows, faculty and non-faculty in developing Investigator initiated research projects, especially by providing guidance on the research IRB approval process.
  • Facilitate learner researchers/faculty in getting access to bio statistical analysis/data collection.
  • Prepare and submit investigator (student, resident, fellow, faculty, non-faculty) initiated protocols and study related materials to Institutional Review Board (IRB)
  • Maintain paper and electronic study document, manage files, and provide written communication to learner and faculty investigators to facilitate research performed at Creighton University.
  • Facilitate collaboration among researchers within the institution and to community-based research initiatives
  • Attend Research Interest Group (RIG) and other department meetings

 

Compliance:

  • Coordinate annual renewal applications, protocol amendments, and prepare expedited IRB notification of protocol violations.

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Health Administration, Business Administration, or other related field is preferred.
  • 2 + years of experience; IRB submission background and understanding of the different types of research preferred
  • Superior skills in working within a team
  • Ability to translate complex scientific information into practical communications.
  • Ability to work with residency coordinators and program directors to foster a spirit of cooperation to achieve the research goals of the School of Medicine.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including written and verbal, problem solving, diplomatically handling problems of a sensitive and/or confidential nature.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with demonstrated ability to be a self-starter and the ability to support multidisciplinary teams
