Job Description Summary

This position is a key member of the Gloria Larson Center for Women and Business (CWB) and within Bentley University. Program Manager leads the execution of the CWB Gearing Up Conference for women and gender-diverse leaders in their early and mid-careers as well as other programs and partnerships on campus and externally with corporate engagements.

Broad role description: Interfacing with corporate clients, community and corporate partners, faculty, staff, and facilitators in collaboration with the Director of Programs and Engagement. Leads the programming and logistics for the CWB’s signature event the Gearing Up Conference, including sponsorships; managing the timetable, staffing assignments, budget, logistics, and program follow-up.

Essential Duties

  • Work in collaboration with the Director of Programs and Engagement to manage client relationships related to programs, sponsorships, and Gearing Up. 
  • Identify opportunities to create new partnerships to support strategic goals of the CWB and the CWB Gearing Up Conference.
  • Communicates effectively with CWB team/facilitators/faculty and with corporate partners on planning, actions, deliverables, successes, and opportunities 
  • Collaborate with campus partners such as conference services, facilities, marketing, as well as centers of excellence to deliver various on-campus workshops.
  • Supports onsite or virtual delivery of custom corporate programming with materials, capturing notes or quotes for testimonials and for social media content.
  • Seeks out and activates sponsorships of external programs such as relevant conferences where the CWB can serve as thought leaders, speakers, or support leadership development opportunities for students.
  • Arranges (with Program Coordinator participation) logistics for scheduling, registrations, room reservations, materials preparation, and other logistics 
  • Represents CWB in networking events to raise CWB visibility and brand awareness.
  • Works with the Director of Communications to develop and implement marketing efforts for Gearing Up Conference and other CWB programs as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 3-5 years related work experience, including established computer/tech skills (such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). 
  • Experience working with HubSpot CRM and Sales features.
  • Experience working with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and open to leveraging emerging sales and marketing technologies.
  • Alignment with CWB/Bentley values and interests, especially regarding a commitment to promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. 
  • Ability to write quickly and with excellence.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, teamwork, and project management skills required. 
  • Demonstrated strong corporate client service skills.  
  • Occasional early morning, evening, or weekend work due to program scheduling.  

Work Environment

  • Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing.  
  • Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office machinery.  
  • Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal as well as communication through automated devices such as the telephone.
