Description

 

Manages the day-to-day operations of a small or medium-sized university program or department. May supervise staff employees, student workers, programs or processes.

  • Plans and develops procedures for administering a small or medium-sized department or program.
  • Oversees program expenditures and ensures adherence to budget.
  • Provides guidance to subordinate staff and evaluates performance.
  • May prepare or participate in the creation of abstracts, research reports, funding proposals, operations and procedure manuals, and other written material and documentation.
  • Reviews reports of budgets and activities.
  • Prepares ad hoc reports as needed.
  • May administer grants and grant-related related communications, scholarships and other operations.
  • Develops, implements and maintains appropriate policies and procedures.
  • May serve as property custodian for the department.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

    •  Must be willing to work weekends and late-night events.
    • Takes requests and schedules equipment requests, special events support and department errands for the department and division when in use of the Athletic Alumni Center.
    • Handles and supervises distribution bookings and assignments of audiovisual equipment; provides counter service and direct service to media technology classrooms or to customers in a department or division.
    •  Assists with facility maintenance, housekeeping, and set up/tear down of Athletic Alumni Center events
    • Performs cleaning, preventative maintenance and inventory of all equipment in stockroom, general purpose auditoriums, meeting rooms and/or equipment storage rooms.
    • Alongside leadership, oversees the Event Management services for the assigned sport(s) tailgating to ensure event operations are safe, timely, efficient, successful, and repeatable from event to event.
    • Performs customer service to address concerns about event venue
    • Prepares FIXIT work requests, purchase vouchers, requisitions, and contracts.
    •  Assist with the development of compelling written content for various platforms, including newsletters, emails, social media, website updates and print materials targeting alumni.
    • Experience in a variety of multimedia applications, including but not limited to web content management systems and social media.
    • Implement AI solutions that address complex challenges across various domains.
     

    Qualifications

     

    Bachelors and No experience

    Education: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Experience: No experience required.
