Summary of Duties

Develops and manages co-curricular and experiential opportunities that deliver learning experiences, such as collaborative project work, to prepare students for success in the innovative field of drug development. Collaborates with Fisher and Ohio State faculty and staff to integrate opportunities specific to the needs and experiential practices of the pharmaceutical industry for Fisher graduate students. Manages graduate student project work including technology assessments, competitive analysis, market analysis, strategic partnership development, and discovery workshops with internal and external partners, including the Drug Development Institute.

Actively participates in the design and execution of research for the purpose of evaluating commercial potential of early-stage technical inventions and developing commercialization strategies; evaluates market feasibility of inventions within a wide array of technical fields including life sciences, engineering, materials sciences, mathematical algorithms, chemistry, and others; performs critical analysis of databases and literature relevant to research area and carefully documents findings; recommends areas to be explored, methods of analysis, and possible sources of data; presents findings to clients via written documents and presentations; identifies relevant contacts to serve as sources of primary industry insight; serves as consultant to the Executive Director; oversees junior analysts; contributes to the development of internal processes and templates.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience; considerable experience in a physical science research capacity; familiarity with business, market research and innovation principles.

Desired Qualifications

Excellent writing and communication skills; time management and multitasking skills; familiarity with sources of market information and technical information; degree in a technical field; supervisory experience; additional business or industry background.

Target Salary $68,000.00 - $73,000.00 Annually
