PROGRAM DIRECTOR II - (T217208)

Description

 

Directs operations of a programmatic function. Operates with a high degree of independence. Responsible for program development, content and administration. Establishes program objectives, manages programmatic fiscal activities, supervises staff engaged in carrying out program activities and may require grant writing and/or other ability to secure program funding. Prepares various reports for program.

Duties and Responsibilities

 

1.       Monitor alignment and reporting of learning outcomes and assessment and facilitate completion of reporting required by SACSCOC.

2.       Facilitate curriculum development of face-to-face and online courses, workshops, and seminars.

3.       Serve as co-instructor for courses and workshops in academic writing, mentoring and leadership, and teaching in higher education, and maintain availability to meet with students in regularly scheduled office hours as well as provide timely and developmental feedback to students.

4.       Develop, implement, and report upon evaluation and assessment results related to IGPS course offerings.

5.       Develop and contribute to the scholarship of teaching and learning through active research projects of collaborations that result in efficacious practice, policy or publication.

6.       Participate in IGPS and Graduate School special projects and community outreach activities and represent the Graduate School at campus and community events.

7.       Conduct needs assessments and collaborate with community partners to develop and deliver free information sessions, workshops, and seminars to meet the needs of the campus community; serve as IGPS educational liaison to various UAB colleges and schools.

8.       Perform other duties as assigned

Annual Salary Range: $60,835 - $98,855

 

Qualifications

 

Bachelor's degree in a related field and five (5) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
