Program Director for Analytics, Technology and Security - School of Continuing Studies – Georgetown University

Georgetown University's School of Continuing Studies (SCS) offers graduate programs in professional and liberal studies, professional certificate programs, custom, and corporate training and education, summer school and special programs, and the University’s only part-time bachelor’s program. By pairing seasoned scholars and practitioners with innovative educational programming, SCS prepares students with the skills needed to succeed in today’s evolving business landscape.

The Program Director for Analytics, Technology and Security is the primary administrative manager of the Executive Master of Professional Studies, International Executive Master of Professional Studies in Emergency and Disaster Management and Master of Professional Studies in Emergency and Disaster Management degree programs. The executive programs offer a residency-based learning model, requiring domestic and international travel throughout the cohort for weeklong immersions. The Program Director is responsible for managing the logistics and travel of these trips while providing support on the ground.

The Program Director also focuses on academic advising and degree planning while serving as the program liaison for various SCS and University departments; and is responsible for understanding and enforcing all University academic and administrative policies while working with various stakeholders in the community. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Plans and executes international and domestic residencies which includes but is not limited to speaker coordination, site logistics, scheduling traveling, and planning catering for the group.
  • Supports the day-to-day activities of the program(s) in providing administrative support for current and graduating students.
  • Provides support and direction for academic advising, registration processes, academic actions, admissions events, and new student orientation.
  • Acts as the liaison between the program and various SCS and University departments on behalf of the student body and administration.
  • Tracks all enrollment stages, from current students through alumni.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in academic advising and stakeholder management
  • Experience in travel and logistics coordination
  • Excellent clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to translate policy into effective student advising
  • Strong work ethic, good judgment, ability to collaborate effectively with others
  • Agility in the workplace and a desire to take on new tasks to better the student experience

Preferred qualifications

  • Master’s degree
  • Experience at an academic institution
