Summary of Position
Reporting to and with broad administrative oversight from the Associate Dean of the College of Professional Studies – online division, this position is responsible for the administration and direction of the Child Welfare Education Partnership (CWEP) program. The CWEP Program Director is responsible for the administration, supervision, coordination, and execution of a contract with the New Hampshire Division of Health and Human Services (NHDHHS) to provide a broad range of educational programs, research and development activities and other services for foster and adoptive parents, residential care providers and staff at the Division of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF).
This position requires an individual with the intellectual capacity to view programs and activities delivered by CWEP within the overall structure of NHDHHS and analyze how the program’s individual functions contribute to the effectiveness and efficiency of training for the constituents the contract serves. The position also requires the ability to look beyond individual course and instructor evaluations and experiences to evaluate how the program is meeting the educational needs of DCYF’s new and established workforce in order to perform their job functions expertly while delivering a high-quality support and interaction to New Hampshire families. The Program Director must possess the mental agility and intellectual flexibility to implement ongoing and systemic change throughout the training unit. Continuous Quality Improvement processes are key to the success of the contract.

Other minimum qualifications
  • Master’s in Social Work or other appropriate academic discipline, with five to seven years of experience related to project specialization.
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • Experience in educational program development and content; ; knowledge of the needs of adult learners; knowledge of child welfare systems; budget development and fiscal management; evaluation and assessment development and analysis.
  • Ability to oversee independent research and quality improvement processes.
  • High Degree of self-motivation, initiative, communication skills and ability to work with diverse constituencies at all levels of state government and colleagues nationally.
  • Travel as needed.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
  • Online program development and instruction.
  • Experience leading remote teams.
  • Doctorate level degree (EdD or PhD) in an appropriate academic discipline.
