Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Development Analyst for NJMS- Emergency Medicine. Under the direction of the Chair, the Program Development Analyst is responsible for conducting high-quality research in conjunction with faculty in the field of Emergency Medicine. Assists in the design and coordination of highly specialized and technical research. Is also responsible for the day-to-day operation of the department’s simulation program/center.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Oversees the preparation, maintenance, inventory, and operation of all simulation equipment/supplies and collaborates with faculty to design, plan, implement, and schedule simulation activities.
  • Ensures adherence to program policies, course objectives, program outcomes, and current simulation best practices and safety measures.
  • This position will cross-train to provide backup support to other staff as needed.
  • Provides administrative support to the Research Associate & Director
  • Provides administrative and operational support for the Simulation Center
  • Assist residents/staff in the use of computers and applications
  • Actively participates in professional organizations as appropriate and necessary. b. Attends (virtual or in-person) at least one professional development meeting every other year

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, or Healthcare management plus three (3) years of experience as indicated.

Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Must be highly motivated, have excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with our faculty, students and residents.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, and adaptability are key behavioral traits for success in this role.
  • Must possess exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills, prioritize tasks independently, and demonstrate initiative.
  • Should have a strong grasp of departmental management structures, human resources, financial processes, and confidentiality principles.
  • Sound knowledge of IRB process, research methodology, statistical analysis, and data interpretation.
  • Proficiency in literature searches and the use of statistical software, such as SPSS, SAS.
  • Additionally, proficiency in software like Microsoft Office, Zoom, and resident management systems is crucial.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters’ degree is highly desirable, as well as research and ISM experience
  • Simulation lab experience highly desired
