POSITION PURPOSE
Working in a team-based environment, the Program Coordinator (PC) provides a variety of administrative support to the Office of Sponsored Programs. This person may perform a wide range of activities related to sponsored programs that include maintaining database records, reviewing and finalizing administrative pre- and post-award actions, retrieving unilateral federal grant awards from government systems, preparing associated funding related actions, and initiating closeout and end of award activities. The PC also may create and manage access to various system accounts, prepare and submit periodic reports, and update and maintain procedural documentation. The PC serves as a liaison between the University and external sponsors as a regular part of the job. This individual will need to exercise judgment to prioritize tasks to meet government, funding sponsor, and University deadlines.

The PC will be trained to be proficient in all areas of responsibility and provide coverage for other PCs as needed. Depending on the needs of the unit, a program coordinator’s day to day tasks may be concentrated in one or more main functional areas. The PC is expected to perform other duties as assigned.
