Department of Information Systems The Department of Information Systems (IS) is part of The College of Engineering and Information Technology (COEIT) at UMBC. We currently offer a variety of degrees and certificates for undergraduate and graduate students, including B.A. in business technology administration, B.S. in information systems, M.S. in information systems (also online), M.S. in human-centered computing, Ph.D. in information systems, and Ph.D. in human-centered computing. Through these offerings, our students study the design, implementation, and evaluation of information technologies. |

Position Overview: |
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Marketing, the Program Coordinator leads recruiting and retention efforts for our students, assists associate chair in undergraduate course scheduling, generates adjunct contracts, and coordinates events for the department. The Program Coordinator works with the department program directors, other IS staff, and relevant campus partners to develop and implement a recruiting strategy. The position proactively seeks out and counsels prospective undergraduate and graduate applicants on the admissions process and opportunities for study at UMBC. Communicating with a diverse population, this process occurs primarily by in-person and/or virtual appointments, recruitment events, phone calls, and email. |
