The Opportunity:

UCF’s College of Community Innovation and Education Marriage and Family Research Institute (MFRI) is dedicated to providing the highest level of quality service to individuals seeking support, with a focus on counseling, psychology, social work, and related fields. Our team, composed of professionals with academic expertise in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, and more, operates across various departments, including Administration, Family Services, Operations, Recruitment, Relationship Educators, and Childcare teams.

The MFRI is currently seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Program Coordinator (Recruitment Lead) for our UCF MFRI Project Harmony, based in Orlando, FL. As the Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing community recruitment efforts for Project Harmony participants, supervising Recruitment Specialists on a daily basis, directing the day-to-day activities of the Recruitment Department, aiding in compiling recruitment data for Federal reports, and managing and developing social media platforms and content for participant recruitment. Functional title will be Recruitment Lead.

This is a Contract and Grant (C&G) funded position. Employment is subject to availability of funding and may cease at the time funding for this employment is depleted.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team comprised of two full-time Program Recruitment Specialists and two part-time Recruitment Assistants. This involves leading bi-weekly meetings, conducting individual supervisions, overseeing daily recruitment efforts, and tracking progress while providing overall leadership to the team.

  • Create and maintain a social media presence through the development, design, and implementation of a comprehensive strategy.

  • Set project goals and analyze social media data for essential adjustments and improvements.

  • Proficiency in software tools like Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro, etc., is essential.

  • Supervise the organization and execution of recruitment initiatives for Project Harmony 2.0, collaborating closely with the Recruitment Specialist to oversee referral partners, involve the community in identifying potential participants, and leverage online methods, including social media and virtual tools.

  • Ensure adequate staffing for events and recruitment calls, while actively seeking innovative strategies to meet monthly enrollment benchmarks individually and as a team.

  • Coordinate follow up phones calls with potential participants to schedule intake appointment and confirmation calls.

  • Engage in biweekly individual supervision meetings with the Project Director and /or Assistant Director of Operations.

  • Conduct daily team check-in meetings, biweekly team meetings, and monthly all-staff meetings to address enrollment benchmarks, challenges, and successes.

  • Ensure that services are provided in accordance with laws of the United States and the State of Florida, policies of the University of Central Florida, contractual obligations with the funding sources, and quality standards and practices to improve the efficiency and quality of work performance and work products.

  • Other Duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prefer candidate with the ability to communicate in both English and Spanish in order to work effectively with customers and team members.

  • Presentation skills

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)

  • Availability to work nights and weekends based on programmatic need.
