The Diversity and Inclusion Program Coordinator joins a team that includes the Director of Diversity and Recruitment Initiatives and the Coordinator of Diversity Initiatives to provide a high level of administrative and program-level coordination and support in the development, implementation, and assessment of current and future programs which further graduate education within various academic colleges, centers, and institutes.
Reporting to the Director, the Diversity and Inclusion Program Coordinator enhances the education of graduate and prospective graduate students through co-curricular programs, services, and resources that advance the Graduate School mission for inclusive excellence by assisting in the design and delivery of recruitment and retention strategies.
This position does require some weekend work and overtime during peak seasons. Flexible schedules during these times will be a requirement of this position.

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field or an equivalent combination of education and experience; Possess extensive knowledge in the field of equity, diversity, and inclusion and its application to the educational environment; Keen attention to detail; Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills; Strong program development and project management skills; Demonstrated experience in data analysis and evaluation; Experience in an office environment handling multiple tasks and establishing priorities; Good organizational skills; Considerable experience using Microsoft Office Suite applications (particularly Excel); Must possess time management and excellent follow-up skills.
Master’s degree and graduate level experience is preferred along with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects; Experience working in a higher education setting, preferably working with students, staff and faculty; Experience using OSU administrative systems such as EDWARD System, Carmen Canvas (learning-management system), Tableau (data visualization program), and BuckeyeBox; Proficient working with survey tools such as Qualtrics.
