The Coordinator- Aquatics Student Personnel is an integral part of the Student Life Rec Sports team committed to a vision as leaders in developing lives of balance, physical activity and well-being. Creates, executes, and manages a comprehensive program to staff the RPAC Aquatic Center, which consists of 5 pools and two spas, open from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, and associated events appropriately to ensure customer and staff safety at all times; recruits, hires, trains, certifies, schedules, supervise, evaluates and retains a diverse student aquatic staff for the Student Life Rec Sports; conducts in-service training and directs the evaluation of employee skills to promote and assure the safe conduct of aquatic programs; conducts regular student staff meetings; plans for and schedules the staff necessary to conduct programs within the established budget; prepares and audits the student staff payroll, inventory student staff uniforms and first aid supplies and process purchase requisitions to replenish as needed; completes shift reports, accident reports, operational logs, maintenance requests, state health reports, usage logs and other paperwork as required and necessary; assists in the supervision of special events, competitive events and facility rentals including set-up, execution, take down and necessary cleaning; assists with pool operations including water circulation, chemical delivery and filtration as directed; establishes, maintains and promotes good public relations; attends scheduled professional staff meetings and provides leadership; ensures cleanliness of facility; some evening and weekend hours required.

Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience; experience in program planning and administration; basic lifeguard certification.
Master’s degree in a related field; knowledge of Connect 2 software system; possess or be willing to obtain an instructor certification in First Aid/CPR/AED/WSI/Lifeguarding within six months of hire; possess or be willing to obtain a CPO or AFO certification within first year employment; water safety instruction certification.
