 PROGRAM COORDINATOR STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP DIVISION,

GRADUATE AND EXECUTIVE EDUCATION

The Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, invites applications for a full-time, non-exempt, Program Coordinator supporting the Strategic Leadership Division. The primary responsibility of the program coordinator is to provide general program support leadership to include overseeing and supervising program operations and delivery, with a secondary role for relationship development with students and collaborating institutions. The main functions of this position include but are not limited to: partnering with other program coordinators to complete work tasks, building and enforcing processes, and overseeing program coordinators’ work product associated with all student services and program delivery aspects of Executive MBA programs in addition to non-degree course offerings within Graduate & Executive Education. Additionally, marketing strategy, recruiting and budgeting are part of this role. Program operations and delivery includes planning and coordinating team efforts with the collaborating institutions for the off-campus residency periods, both domestically and internationally. Some domestic travel will be required.

 



Qualifications

 

Responsibilities:

DAY TO DAY PROGRAM OPERATIONS & Delivery

  • The position will have responsibility for delivering the day-to-day operations of the Executive MBA degree and non-degree programs, as well as assisting with event services, alumni relations, and program marketing as needed.
  • Program operations and delivery include planning and coordinating efforts for multiple on-campus residency periods and non-degree courses, as well as off-campus residency periods and non-degree courses. This includes delivery of services such as catering, transportation, hotel and logistical services.
  • Collaborate with Vendors, Faculty and other GEE Team members to support program delivery.
  • Maintenance of inventory, materials, furniture & supplies necessary for the success of the GEE program.
  • Other duties as requested and warranted by the business

ORGANIZATIONAL SCHEDULING, PROCESS IMPROVEMENT, and FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILIY

  • This position will provide general support as needed for staff and faculty in the delivery of educational services across all programs in GEE, help define the processes necessary for program implementation, and do so in a financially feasible fashion.
  • This role will also help to balance workloads through organizational scheduling, and make sure that budgets are being kept in regards to hours for travel and workloads, based on Director's contractual delegations.

RELATIONSHIP DEVELOPMENT, MARKETING, and RECRUITING

  • This position will have a responsible role for relationship development with students, as well as collaborating with domestic and international institutions and vendors.
  • This position will also assist in student admission and travel documentation requirements as needed.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Three years of progressively responsible business work experience required

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s Degree
  • Seven (7)+ years of business/professional experience
  • Program support experience
  • Experience in a higher education setting
  • Experience in a professional setting
