Job Description

The Senior Program Coordinator is a new position designed to assist The Sustainability Consortium’s CEO (Executive Office) and Science & Impact Team with program coordination of various research-related grants, projects and other activities.   

 The Senior Program Coordinator is an integral part of the TSC team, working on project coordination, executive team management, and coordination of multi-level research and grant projects related to TSC’s science and impact work. This position will represent these and other functions on TSC’s team and will coordinate closely with TSC staff, members and partners globally.

Salary Range

$22.41 - $30.00 per hour; DOE


Essential Duties

  • Coordinates internal activities related to grants, projects and strategy as directed by TSC’s CEO to ensure that goals and objectives are met and accomplished in accordance with priorities, time limitations, funding limitations or other circumstances
  • Coordinates information distribution with internal staff and external partners as related to projects assigned
  • Supports TSC CEO by helping to manage their time, calendar and priorities with internal staff, briefing CEO on important decisions and helping process needed decisions
  • Creates and delivers processes as needed to create smooth coordination and delivery of CEO-specific projects
  • Helps executive office prioritize and problem solve research project-related issues
  • Reviews documents sent to CEO to determine priority order and response time
  • Works with Executive Team to coordinate large, multi-relationship projects and meetings, including agenda-setting, strategic planning, and drafting of communications
  • Develops and facilitates workshops, meetings, presentations or webinars related to CEO and science and impact activities
  • Coordinates university activities as determined by CEO related to legal, contracting, and HR, creating and updating process documents as needed
  • Understands and utilizes Arizona State University tools and processes to accomplish Executive Office tasks

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND four years administrative/coordinate program experience; OR, Master's degree in field appropriate to area of assignment AND two years administrative/coordinate program experience; OR, Eight years of progressively responsible administrative/coordinate program experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

  • Proven track record with evidence of successful project coordination 
  • Evidence of effective interpersonal, communication, and writing skills
  • Experience working with corporate, non-profit, academic, and governmental stakeholders 
  • Experience creating new processes
  • Experience in university activities
  • Demonstrated knowledge with customer relationship management (CRM), project management and development software tools (E.g., Salesforce, Advance)
  • Experience working with global teams 
  • Evidence of effective, positive team member with the ability to work remotely with colleagues located in multiple offices
  • Evidence of being Interest in science and sustainability
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ASU software and systems

Working Environment

  • Climate-controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting. 
  • Visual acuity and manual dexterity associated with daily use of desktop computer; 
  • Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential duties. 
  • Expected to be responsive to customers, engaged in work production, resourceful, flexible, and respectful of others.
