As we execute a comprehensive fundraising campaign, we are growing our exceptional team of passionate, mission-driven Advancement professionals, looking for a Program Coordinator who will be a part of the Parent Engagement & Philanthropy team for University Advancement.

The Program Coordinator will enhance the Flyer experience for parents and families supporting UD through philanthropy and volunteerism. The Coordinator will help build a robust giving pipeline of parents and families by providing support in the areas of PLC meeting planning, volunteer management, event planning, communications, and donor stewardship.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Parent Engagement & Philanthropy, the Program Coordinator will assist with the day-to-day function of the Parent Engagement & Philanthropy program, specifically the logistics of the Parent Leadership Council (PLC), which has experienced exponential growth in the past five years.

The successful candidate will be a creative, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented individual who brings their energy to create meaningful engagement experiences for a diverse group of parent volunteers. The successful individual will have an eagle eye for detail, builds relationships with others, and collaborate seamlessly across departments.

A unique aspect of this Program Coordinator position is the opportunity to learn the fundraising and advancement profession through frequent engagement with annual donors on the PLC. The Senior Director will guide the Program Coordinator, creating the opportunity to build a frontline fundraising skillset and robust career pathway.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter who excels at behind-the-scenes details and is comfortable interacting with diverse individuals, from parents to university leadership. Stellar written and verbal communication skills and the ability to stay highly focused are keys to success in this position.

Minimum Qualifications:

*Bachelor’s degree
*A deep appreciation for and an ability to successfully articulate the mission and aspirations of the University of Dayton
*Strong customer service approach and interpersonal skills
*Effective written and verbal communication skills
*Flexible schedule; willing to work occasional nights and weekends, as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

* 2+ years of event/meeting planning experience
* Experience in a higher education or a non-profit organization
* Fundraising, volunteer management, and/or sales experience
* Demonstrated experience with collaborating across organizations
* Examples of working with details and driving projects
* Experience working with socially and culturally diverse communities
