The College of Education, Criminal Justice and Human Services (CECH) seeks a Program Coordinator for Non-Medical Transportation in the Advancement and Transition Services (ATS) IMPACT Autism Program to manage the program and work closely with other directors to maximize financial resources and ensure the sustainability of our programs and services. This individual will manage the day-to-day functioning, direct supervision of full-time staff, part time student workers, graduate assistants, and one on one support for our associates.

With the dedicated support from Impact Autism, other generous donors, waiver funding, and private pay options, IMPACT Innovation is able to provide adults 22 years of age and older meaningful employment opportunities and quality life experiences in inclusive settings which ultimately leads to more independent and fulfilled lives.

 

IMPACT Innovation provides non-medical transportation services to program participants. Defined as: transportation to, from, between, or among a place of employment, adult day support, career planning, group employment support, individual employment support, or vocational habilitation is provided to the individual. IMPACT provides these services to and from the participants’ homes and the University of Cincinnati and the surrounding community.


Job Overview

Coordinate the Non-Medical Transportation services for IMPACT Innovations at the College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services. This position is 80% FTE; full benefits eligible; and will work under the supervision of the Director of IMPACT Innovations to maintain a fleet of up to 5 vans used to transport program participants to and from their daily programming at the University of Cincinnati. This role is responsible for all day to day functions of the non-medical-transportation program including but not limited to the following essential functions.


Essential Functions
  • Drive a minimum of two shifts a week depending on program need.
  • Design/create and conduct hiring, training, evaluating, and scheduling for student worker drivers.
  • Work with Director of Impact Innovations to develop program objectives for non-medical transportation and monitor quantitative and qualitative data on progress toward objectives. Review objectives to identify problems and solutions, prioritize solutions and develop action steps for program improvement.
  • Provide financial administrative support for program initiatives; such as collecting, auditing, and entering data for Medicaid billing.
  • Coordinate and maintain daily operations of the non-medical transportation program including routine and emergency maintenance, parking permits, fuel cards, and compliance with both the University and Department of Developmental Disabilities requirements.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to recruit student workers and program participants.
  • Interact with associates, student workers, families, staff, faculty, external agencies and other university departments.
  • Provide direct supervision to student drivers.
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.
  • Assist as needed with the Impact Innovation program as designated by the Director.

Required Education
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Trainings/Certifications

Valid Driver’s License with acceptable record.


Required Experience

One (1) year of program coordination experience.


Additional Qualifications Considered
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • PR Trained (department can train if necessary).
