Minimum Hiring Annual Salary:

$69,016.00

Maximum Hiring Annual Salary:

$72,466.80

To attain the maximum annual salary, employee must meet all minimum qualifications plus:

  • 5 (five) years of additional applicable work experience and/or degrees higher than minimum qualification degree. Degrees higher than the minimum qualification degree can be used in combination with additional work experience.

The stated salary amounts are not guaranteed in the event employment ends with Aims during any fiscal year.

Job Description:

In a self-directed capacity, coordinates the daily operations related to the registration and transfer evaluation processes. Collaborates with a variety of internal areas including recruiting, enrollment management, academic advising, transition center, college staff with compliance/accreditation responsibilities, and information technology staff. Collaborates with external parties including software vendors and accrediting agencies.
Sets standards of operations registration, transfer evaluation, tuition classification, all related communications (print and electronic), continuous improvement of student services and the end-to-end coordination and execution of the course registration process all in line with strategic objectives of the college. Requires extensive research, data analysis, and decision making.

Supervision:

  • Hire, train, evaluate and supervise staff.
  • Assign, direct and coordinate the work of staff.
  • Schedule staff to provide adequate coverage based on established service hours.
  • Conduct planning and evaluations in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain training and reference material for systems and functions that are related to registration and transfer evaluation.

Administer and Manage Student Enrollment Functions

  • Administer all aspects of registration and transfer evaluation functions.
  • Plan and coordinate development of various reports required to ensure the accuracy of student enrollments and adherence to federal, state and/or college policy.
  • Coordinate and direct processes related to registration and transfer evaluation to ensure compliance with college policy.
  • Ensure professional judgment in managing and ensuring the data integrity of all information recorded on a student record.
  • Ensure compliance with State, Federal, and College polies regarding.
  • Develop and establish standards of operation related to registration and transfer evaluation functions. Ensure that the developed standards are reviewed on a regular basis and kept updated.
  • Coordinate daily operations related to, student registration, course prerequisite monitoring, transfer evaluation and general student record updates.
  • Coordinate daily operations related to setup of student registration for every term.
  • Ensure timely submission of National Student Clearinghouse files for registration and degree verification.
  • Develop and maintain standard communications to students, faculty, advisors, and the college community.
  • Serve as the liaison between the Registration & Records area and other functional areas within the college to research and resolve problems.

Manage Tuition Classification Process

  • Uses professional judgment in managing the tuition classification process including verifying the accuracy of records submitted and coordinating with Colorado Department of Higher Education staff when necessary.
  • Ensure college compliance with state tuition classification legislation.
  • Research and propose deadlines for student submission of tuition classification materials.
  • Serves as the initial contact for student tuition classification and coordinates with the college Registrar as needed.
  • Maintain current knowledge of proposed changes to state tuition classification legislation.

Other Duties as Assigned:

  • Research and resolve concerns with student data, including leading any clean-up projects as necessary.
  • Follow state and federal laws related to data retention of student records.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with legislative requirements such as FERPA.
  • Serve as a primary contact for the re-design of registration and transfer evaluation-related forms.
  • Assist students, faculty, staff, and alumni with all aspects of registration and transfer evaluation.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned by the Registrar and Assistant Registrar.
  • Coordinate the daily operations related to digitizing information.
  • Assist in testing of the ERP System and any other third party systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts, Business Administration or related field: plus,
  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in a Registrar or Records Office or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience. Of the required (5) years of work experience, two (2) years must be supervisory and/or demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Working knowledge of student registration and transfer evaluation processes.
  • Experience with student information systems, and Microsoft Office programs.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Master's Degree in higher education or related field.
