This is a position that is funded from grant and/or contract funding which is renewed under the provisions of the grant or the contract. This position, therefore, is contingent upon continuation of funding of these grants and/or contracts and satisfactory job performance.

Job Description Summary

The Program Coordinator II - Grant Activities Center of Excellence in Forensic Nursing, under general supervision, supervises, coordinates, and assists with the completion of projects. Develops and coordinates project plans through full implementation.

Job Requirements

Required Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience


Required Experience:
Two years of related experience in any combination of the following: grant management, planning, development, data collection and reporting


Preferred Education:
Master's degree in specialty area


Preferred Experience:

Four years of related experience in any combination of the following: grant management, planning, development, data collection and reporting

Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Working with diverse individuals and communities.
Grant/project management.
Data collection and reporting to funders.


Required Licenses and Certifications:

Preferred Licenses and Certifications:
Valid driver license


Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Excellent written communication, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Able to provide and receive confidential information while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
Ability to coordinate scheduling of multiple stakeholders

Job Responsibilities


60%: Project Coordination and Activities

Oversee the development of IPV/SUD in Pregnancy and Post-Partum educational modules

Organizes podcasts and recruit presenters

Manages day to day project activities

Coordinates scheduling and facilitation of team meetings

Organizes in-person trainings to be held throughout the state and online

Oversees the completion of continuing education applications
Develops and disseminates meeting minutes.
Coordinates and schedules training with stakeholders.
Provides verbal and/or written communication to stakeholders and team members.
Identifies and provides available resources to patients in their own communities.
Compiles data and creates reports.
Coordinates the monitoring and evaluation of the project.
Ensures deliverables are completed by established deadlines.
Presents information at conferences related to the project.
Communicates with project director/PI about project related activities and any issues or concerns that arise.


35%: Data/Grants Management

Manages all aspects of the program.

Provides support to the team and other project members in collecting and maintaining necessary
documentation.
Completes documents, forms, or reports required by the grant.
Coordinates and facilitates grant team meetings and communication.
Maintains and/or provides project status/progress to grant leads.
Submits requests to funders for permissions as necessary.
Submits reports to funders by established deadlines.
Manages grant expenditures to ensure compliance with funders.
Ensures spending is within the budget.
Holds team members accountable for deliverables.

If the candidate is a Registered Nurse, then an unencumbered Texas RN license is required or hold a compact license and is eligible for Texas licensure is required.
