Job Summary
The Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment seeks a Children’s Education Coordinator for/at The Arboretum, State Botanical Garden of Kentucky and the Kentucky Children’s Garden. The Children’s Education Coordinator will create and implement environmentally-focused education opportunities, primarily in the Kentucky Children’s Garden during its season of operation, April through October. From November through March, the Children’s Education Coordinator will create programming for the coming year, participate in outreach activities, develop grant materials, and other tasks as assigned. The position will seek, manage and supervise student interns, community volunteers and a Lead Educator position. The position will build upon the network of collaborative relationships and community partners that have been established, oversee publicity efforts, and other tasks as assigned.
