Position Summary:

Under general supervision, coordinates administrative, personnel and logistical support for a defined department program. Carries out established program objectives and directives. Determines the best approach to accomplish assignments. May supervise support staff. Communicates, using a variety of media, with internal and external constituencies. May be responsible for adherence to program budget and/or other fiscal duties. May assist with grant and contract preparation and submission. May handle data management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordination of meetings, symposiums, and projects with KUH Program trainees and leadership, as well as keeping KUH community partners up to date with opportunities and support events and outreach endeavors at UAB, Tulane, and Augusta Universities.
  • Supporting the maintenance and improvement of the alumni and affiliate database, which includes trainees, faculty and community partners.
  • Assist team with focus of raising awareness about training and careers in kidney, urology and non-malignant hematology.
  • Execute established program objectives and directives and may assist in program planning
  • May assist with grant and progress reports preparation and submission.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Salary Range: $15.00 - $21.95

 

Qualifications

 

High School diploma or GED and three (3) years of related experience required.

Preferred:

  • General understanding of public health and/or biomedical research areas 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • To work independently and on a team.
