A Day in the Life of This Position:

Our GFC Program Coordinator works closely with the GFC Associate Dean as well as the broader GFC Operations Team to ensure excellence for our students, adjunct faculty members, business partners, partner schools, and community liaisons. This position can be hybrid, if needed, with several days per week in the office and occasional days working from home. George Fox Connect is housed in the Margaret Lemmons House, a delightful older home on the edge of campus close to coffee shops and food carts, and the Program Coordinator has a windowed office overlooking the home's wide front porch.

A typical day will begin with a review of emails, a consideration of what meetings may be on the calendar, and a look ahead to what tasks should be prioritized first - whether an upcoming in-person event that needs to be planned or a registrar deadline for course schedules. As the primary scheduler for all GFC courses, the Program Coordinator is our puzzle master, working with faculty and registrar schedules to plan a course map that often runs one to two years into the future. Because we are a growing program, we have a number of new initiatives that may require spreadsheets or Google folders or other creative efficiencies, and the Program Coordinator is the team player who is most aware of all of the roles and complexities in George Fox Connect. The Program Coordinator manages the calendar for GFC, and a typical day can range from a list of in-person meetings across campus to a clear day for answering emails, researching new opportunities, and creating improved efficiencies. The GFC Team looks forward to welcoming a new Program Coordinator who is collaborative, creative, and called to empower our GFC students to achieve in ways they never thought possible.
