PROGRAM COORDINATOR FOR FELLOWSHIPS AND GLOBAL INITIATIVES, Legatum Center for Development and Entrepreneurship , to become an integral member of the Fellowships and Global Initiatives (SDFGI) team, engaging MIT students, student and professional fellows, and program participants to help them realize their entrepreneurial ventures in developing countries and support new professional fellowship programs exposing these current and future entrepreneurial leaders from emerging markets to MIT’s innovation ecosystem.  Will collaborate with the senior director for SDFGI, the director of Fellowships and Student Programs (DFSP), and the assistant director for Fellowships and Global Initiatives (ADFGI) on developing, coordinating, and executing the team’s programs.  The role will include significant independence in administrative work related to program delivery and financial transactions (including support for all travel-related functions of the programs and activities) with a dotted line to the associate director for finance and operations to ensure a smooth flow of regulations and operational excellence.  Will serve in a highly visible role as the liaison with MIT students, student and professional fellows, and other program participants regarding activities, deliverables, and opportunities; and contribute insights and expertise to department strategy and provide recommendations to improve and enhance programs.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED:  bachelor’s degree; at least two years’ program/project management experience, preferably working in an academic setting; ability to work independently in a fast-paced work environment within a team setting; support for fostering an inclusive working community; strong collaboration, relationship-builder, customer service, and writing and verbal communication skills.  Job #21265-6
