Program Coordinator for College of Nursing

Position Summary:

Event management for the College of Nursing and Department of Paramedicine.  Work with the Assistant Dean of Academic Success and Operations. Administrative support for the College of Nursing to all three campuses.   Administrative support for Student Affairs and Academic Success.  Supports Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and Assistant Dean of Academic Success and Operations.

 

Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. normally but will need to be available in off hours due to Phoenix campus time difference.

 

Essential Functions:

·       Event Management for Pinning and Hooding ceremonies, White Coat, Distinguished Scholar Lecture, Daisy Faculty award, Holiday Spirit project, and Paramedicine events and activities.

·       Administrative support for all three campuses.  Developing forms, assisting with group meetings, etc.

·       Administrative support for Student Affairs and Academic Success on all three campuses.

·       Assisting with Banner entries, spreadsheets, and travel for events, etc.

·       Other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience : 

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; may consider combination of other work/education experiences.
  • Four years administrative experience.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities : 

  • Demonstrated ability to navigate seamlessly between multiple systems and computer applications.
  • Proficiency with Windows PC, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), browser-based applications, and electronic file management. 
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to compile data and generate reports.
  • Ability to make procedural decisions based on scope of position.
  • Ability to train stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in diverse communities.
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize work with multiple and conflicting demands, in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Self-awareness of personal training needs: ability to locate available training materials, learn from materials, and use the training in day-to-day work environment.
