SLICE is hiring for a Fixed Term Program Coordinator for 3 months to oversee the daily operations of the CMU Pantry and support community initiatives. This is a full-time position; however, we would consider hiring for a part-time role for a candidate with the relevant background and experience. 

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Supervise student Pantry Coordinators including running weekly Pantry Coordinator meetings, providing feedback and facilitating the CMU Grow program.

  • Order food and manage Pantry annual budget.

  • Coordinate donations from campus and external partners.

  • Communicate with partners of the Pantry.

  • Implement CMU’s PA Hunger-Free Campus Grant-awarded initiatives including frozen meal deliveries, spice-packing events and meal swipe program.

  • Maintain Allegheny County Health Department regulations and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank policies to ensure food safety.

  • Assist with weekly Pantry deliveries.

  • Ensure Pantry shopping hours occur as scheduled.

  • Enhance students’ relationship with the Pittsburgh community through managing the SLICE vans reservations and maintenance.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required 

  • 1-3 years of experience working with students, program coordination, project management, non-profit experience, and/or other relevant experience required

  • A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered

 Requirements: 

  • Successful Background Check

  • Ability to regularly lift 40 pounds unassisted

  • Some weekend and evening hours may be required based on programmatic needs.
