Summary of Duties

The program coordinator for the Engaged Learning and Career Action Center for Students (ELCA) is responsible for providing administrative and logistical support related to coordinating the daily operations of ELCA. This includes providing on-going logistical and administrative support in the planning and coordinating of Pre-Major Learning Communities, ROAR Orientation and NSP VanCoug Journey Events, and Career, Internship, Graduate School, and Student Employment Fairs.

The program coordinator for ELCA conducts monthly tracking and reconciling of budget expenditures. Additionally, this position serves as the point person in coordinating student staff coverage and supporting the supervision of ELCA’s peer mentors. Administrative support for ELCA requires this position to collaborate with ELCA staff in the development and maintenance of a data-base that monitors Pre-Major Learning Community participants progress served by ELCA.

Lastly, this position also provides administrative support, communication, and serves as the primary point of contact in ELCA for Academic Alert and Academic Instatement processes. This requires the program coordinator of ELCA to work closely with all academic departments.

Required Qualifications

High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialty OR equivalent education/experience.

Additional Requirements

  • Two years full-time experience coordinating student groups.

  • Must have performed fiscal duties (budget, cash handling, purchasing, travel, payroll) and complex clerical duties in support of their operations.

Monthly Salary: $3,096-$3,246/month, $37,152-$38,952/year, R038, Step A-Step C. Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.

Work Location and Schedule: 

Employees are expected to work on campus, in-person full time.
