Job Overview

Provides administrative support to academic faculty; assists with planning, coordination, & implementation of administrative and academic programming & initiatives; and coordinates continuing legal education activities on behalf of the College of Law


Essential Functions
  • Conduct literature, publication, etc. research through web-based legal research sites.
  • Gather and evaluate faculty related data for legal accreditation report (every 4-6 years).
  • Identify academic faculty support needs and opportunities and develop processes and procedures to enhance productivity, efficiency, and impact.
  • Provide general administrative support to academic faculty.
  • Support faculty academic efforts including dissemination of midterm exams via Canvas and TWEN; assist with Canvas course site development & maintenance; proof articles, books, etc.; and assist with updating eProfessional profiles.
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements for academic faculty.
  • Assist faculty and CoL administrators with coordinating small-scale and major events, including regional and national conferences and symposia (includes coordinating venue, catering, agenda, marketing, and attendees).
  • Work closely with the CoL’s administrative team, Registrar and Financial Administrator to assist with programs, projects, events, and other activities including data entry, filing, reporting, exams, copying, and other duties as needed throughout the year and especially during the Summer when faculty are on break.
  • Assist faculty research centers in the planning, coordination and implementation of administrative and academic programming and initiatives of variety and complexity.
  • Provide administrative support to the Associate Dean of Research to include facilitating and coordinating faculty recruitment efforts (itineraries, interview & presentation schedules, materials, candidate feedback, travel arrangements, reimbursements, etc.) and Taft Scholar activities.
  • Oversee CoL student Alternative Dispute Resolution and Trial Team AIC grant fund submission & utilization and coordinate travel arrangements for regional and national competitions.
  • Coordinate continuing legal education (CLE) efforts on behalf of the CoL including submission of Ohio and Kentucky CLE applications; speaker travel itinerary and arrangements; submission of CLE credit for attending attorneys; submission of teaching credits for professors; online host & moderator; event registration; evaluations; and certificate of attendee completion.

Required Education
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

One (1) year of program coordination experience.
