The IED (Institute of Economic Development) Program Coordinator position will maintain and update the departmental website and other communications, provide logistical support for weekly seminars and workshops, student-lead leadership events, and alumni leadership councils.

  • Assist the IED manager in planning and execution of graduate (masters and PhD) student special events, prepare and post the department seminar schedule, and send weekly reminders to faculty.
  • Create, maintain, and update the alumni database and serve as the liaison between the master's and PhD alumni leadership and the department.
  • Provide secretarial support for 12 assigned faculty.

This positions work within IED will support both the masters and PhD programs of the BU Economics Department. Good communication, computer literacy, and skills in prioritizing multiple requests is essential.


  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • One to three years of experience required
