Job Overview

The College of Allied Health Sciences is searching for a full-time Program Coordinator to provide administrative support to the Department of Rehabilitation, Exercise, and Nutritional Sciences. Programs in the department include undergraduate (health sciences, dietetics) and graduate (athletic training, nutrition, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and interdisciplinary PhD). This position will support the University’s mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff, and all our activities. The Program Coordinator will assist with admissions, student advising, student recruitment, tracking student progress through programs, coordinating the graduation certification process, and maintaining the assigned program webpages. Hybrid work permitted in accordance with UC policy.

 

Typical hybrid work for this position is about two days per week.


Essential Functions
  • Work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students to achieve department and program goals.
  • Respond to program-related inquiries from current and prospective students, faculty, staff, and the general public.
  • Collaborate with Program Directors and other Program Coordinators to develop course schedules and to order courses, course evaluations and textbooks.
  • Work collaboratively with Program Admissions Faculty to create, coordinate and manage student admissions.
  • Use academic management systems (e.g., PeopleSoft products, Catalyst, Slate, CART, e-curriculum) and learning management system (e.g., Canvas) to assist program operations.
  • Assist with student recruitment activities and program events.
  • Manage databases to track student progress through programs and coordinate graduation certification process in collaboration with Program Director and College.
  • Manage School listservs and other electronic communication formats.
  • Run reports as needed for program management and accreditation purposes.
  • Maintain program website in collaboration with college staff.
  • Maintain program files and archives, including electronic databases.
  • Serve on departmental and college committees as needed.
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can change at any time.  

Required Education
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

One (1) year of program coordination experience.

  • Skills in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel.
  • Prior experience with educational and recruitment database systems, such as Catalyst, PeopleSoft products, Slate, CART, e-curriculum, and Canvas.
  • Flexible and adaptable.

  • Aptitude and desire for learning new software and programs.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once and successfully prioritize responsibilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
