The Program Coordinator, Center of Excellence for Information & Computing Technology, supports the Center’s work connecting business and industry with the state’s community and technical college system, other educational institutions and partners, and economic and workforce development systems. The Program Coordinator is responsible for communicating with college and external stakeholders, participating in marketing and outreach events, maintaining accurate databases, and ensuring that the Center’s operational needs are met.

Position Salary Range: $42,540/year - $56,664/year

The salary information shown above is a general guideline only. The salary will be determined based on candidate's qualifications and related experience, as well as market and business considerations. Individuals newly hired to Classified position are placed in a salary range based on the WPEA Collective Bargaining Agreement.

The employee is scheduled to work 40 hours per workweek. This is a Classified, overtime eligible position and represented by the Washington Public Employee Association of Higher Education (WPEA-HE).

Communication and Customer Service

  • Write, design, and send monthly communications to faculty and other college stakeholders.
  • Regularly update online internship and job board.
  • Answer emails and phone calls, providing appropriate resources to customers.
  • Serve as first point of contact for faculty professional development funding program.

Data Management

  • Maintain accurate and updated college system Information Technology program inventory.
  • Maintain accurate and updated stakeholder databases.
  • Maintain other data dashboards.    
  • Independently research target companies and other partners.

Marketing and Outreach

  • Source and publish relevant content on Center of Excellence website; manage website updates and communicate necessary changes with web developer.
  • Execute in-person outreach, to include college and career fairs, high school visits and other events as needed.
  • Provide operational support for Center of Excellence events, community outreach events, and partner events.

Administrative Operations

  • Track budget and reconcile monthly expenses.
  • Ensure that invoices are paid accurately and on time.
  • Provide administrative support to Director.
  • Support quarterly reporting process.

Other Duties

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Associate degree in a relevant field. Any combination of relevant education and/or experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
  • Minimum two (2) years of administrative and/or customer service experience.
  • Effective communication and experience to build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Effective project management and problem-solving skills including anticipating office needs such as taking responsibility for initiating routine tasks, prioritize projects and initiate schedule for completing tasks while working independently.
  • Effective written, verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience working with diverse colleagues and/or students in a collaborative and inclusive environment.
  • Website editing/content management experience.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Event planning experience.
  • Understanding of community and technical college system.
  • Understanding of information technology industry.
