Program Coordinator

Job Description

The Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University—one of the nation’s premier professional journalism and strategic communications programs—is seeking a recruitment coordinator. Working as part of a dedicated student recruitment team, the coordinator engages and recruits prospective undergraduate students (first-year and transfer), advancing enrollment goals and shaping the next generation of media leaders.

The successful candidate easily understands and harnesses data to activate new recruitment approaches, and eagerly builds relationships with prospective students and the adults (high school teachers, administrators and families) who support them. They thrive in a fast-paced work environment, and coordinate and complete tasks both independently and collaboratively.

The recruitment coordinator will sometimes travel throughout Arizona to high schools and community colleges to relationship-build with prospective students and school officials. Additionally, they will travel about 3-4 times a year to conventions throughout the country representing and recruiting for the Cronkite School.

The coordinator also supports all logistical needs for Camp Cronkite, a residential high school camp, and promotes it to students, teachers and parents. Ultimately, the coordinator helps drive Cronkite School enrollment by implementing, ideating and measuring recruitment strategies.

As the Cronkite School grows its student community, we seek a passionate, energetic leader with an entrepreneurial spirit to drive expansion.
