Franklin University is seeking a full-time 12-month Program Chair for its Nursing Programs. Franklin University is a private, independent, accredited, not-for-profit University located in Columbus, Ohio. The Program Chair promotes and supports the vision and mission of Franklin University. Primary responsibilities include oversight of academic quality within the Program(s), guidance and support for Program faculty and related staff and acting as a key advisor to the Department. The Program Chair reports directly to the Chair of the School of Nursing and will have responsibility for program oversight/direction, curriculum oversight, assessment, program promotion in the community, and collaboratively working within a fast-paced changing environment, among other duties. Candidates will have the flexibility of a hybrid or remote work schedule, with the expectation of being onsite as necessary.

This position requires candidates to possess a terminal degree in Nursing/Nursing Science or a related field from an institutionally (formerly regionally) accredited university: PhD, DNP, or DNSc (candidates with ABD status may be considered). Certification as an FNP-C or Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner is required, and board certification must be maintained. Current, unencumbered RN and FNP licensure in the U.S. is necessary, and candidates must be eligible for RN and FNP licensure in the State of Ohio. Additionally, candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of practical experience in a wide variety of areas within the discipline, including practice as an NP. The Program Chair must maintain current licensure and all certifications for the duration of employment. Demonstrated success in teaching and learning, along with prior teaching experience, is essential. Experience with online instruction and course development is preferred.
