Franklin University invites applicants for a full-time, year-round position of Program Chair, Doctor of Healthcare Administration This individual will oversee the Doctor of Healthcare Administration Program. Franklin University is a private, independent, accredited, not-for-profit University located in Columbus, Ohio. Candidates will work an onsite hybrid schedule, but consideration will be given to candidates who work remotely with a commitment to be onsite as needed. 

This faculty position will work closely with the Dean of Doctoral Studies, Program Chairs for the other doctorates we offer, and members of the Office of Academic Scholarship in an environment focused on teaching working adults.  Responsibilities include program oversight/direction, with a focus on program learning outcomes review, course development, academic quality monitoring, assessment activities, oversight/assignment of teaching, adjunct faculty leadership, doctoral learner mentorship, dissertation committee management, service on university committees, leadership in the professional community, as well as programmatic, divisional, and university requirements as needed.

The position requires an earned Doctorate from an institutionally (formerly regionally) accredited college or university in a Healthcare related discipline. Preference may be given to a Doctor of Healthcare Administration degree, but other closely related professional practice or PhD degrees, such as public health, health information management, health services management or another closely related field of study will be granted full consideration. The applicant must have prior academic program management experience at the graduate or doctoral academic level, as well as demonstrated experience leading in the healthcare administration industry. The successful candidate will work effectively with students, staff, and other faculty - adjunct and fulltime.
