The Georgetown Initiative for U.S.-China Dialogue on Global Issues is a university platform for engagement among scholars, students and practitioners to advance dialogue and promote solutions to global challenges ranging from climate change to peace and security.
Job Overview
The Program Associate supports the Initiative leadership in the administration of the Initiative’s research, teaching, outreach and communications activities.
Work Interactions and Work Mode Designation
Reporting to the Initiative Managing Director, the Program Assistant works closely with the Initiative’s senior fellows and research fellow.
They also interact with the Office of the Vice President for Global Engagement staff, faculty and staff in a number of departments across the university, students, and the general public.
This position has been designated as On-Campus. Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University. Such review may necessitate a change to a position’s mode of work designation. Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Interest in U.S.-China relations and global affairs
- Excellent English written and oral communication abilities
- Self-starter with outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to work creatively within a team
- Exceptional attention to detail and professional time-management
- Experience with Microsoft Suite and Google Apps
Preferred qualification
Knowledge of Chinese language
