      Position Description:

      Responsible for developing curricular-connected opportunities for students to lead and gain experience in environmental health topics, designing a mini-granting process for UNI Faculty and students, and the operation of the Good Neighbor Iowa campaign; develops educational materials and communication strategies for outreach across Iowa, including outreach to school districts, park managers, childcare centers and institutions; supervises and trains student staff; develops strong partnerships with community leaders, statewide organizations, school districts, child health organizations, as well as relevant national organizations; and plans for materials and timelines with Program Manager on urban pesticide reduction activities and various related projects as needed.

      Education Requirements:

      Bachelor's degree in health education, environmental education or related field required.

      Required Qualifications:

      At least one year of experience in health education, environmental education or related field required.


      Student Experience will be considered.

      Desirable Qualifications:

      Experience planning and managing an educational campaign, partnership development, child health, and precautionary principle preferred.
