The College of Professional Studies (CPS) seeks an outstanding individual to be the Program Associate, Curriculum and Experiential Learning. Reporting to the Associate Program Director of Academic Affairs, the Program Associate collaborates with the academic affairs team, including program directors, faculty, staff, and administrators, to coordinate innovative curricula and support program- and college-wide experiential learning initiatives, including the Semester in Washington Program. This role may also assist program faculty/staff with a variety of functional and administrative support.
Key responsibilities include:
Curriculum Coordination
  • Coordination of ongoing curriculum development processes of current academic programs to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with program objectives, student needs, and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborates with program directors and academic affairs team to update and maintain course/program and curriculum information and serves as the point of contact for Courseleaf, Bulletin, and the Student Feedback Administration system for the college.
  • Collaborates with program directors and faculty to collect and review program syllabi for academic rigor and quality, adherence to college/university policies, accessibility, and consistency.

Program Management
  • Works with faculty to plan and facilitate immersive and experiential learning initiatives.
  • Coordinates with internship sites and partners for non-degree experiential learning programs.
  • Collaborates with operations team to coordinate program schedule for non-degree experiential learning programs.
  • Conducts internal, ongoing evaluations of experiential learning programs via course evaluations, student surveys, and/or focus groups with students, faculty, and/or staff.

Performs other work related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
This is a hybrid position with some days in the office and some days remote.
Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Additional Required Licenses/Certifications/Posting Specific Minimum Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education and/or experience in higher education administration is highly desired.
  • Strong interest and experience in curriculum design/development.
  • Strong interest and experience in program management, particularly experiential learning.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with all levels of administration, staff, faculty, and students in a diverse work environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong technical skills including proficiency with Learning Management Systems (Blackboard), Student Information Systems and curricula management systems (Banner, Bulletin, Courseleaf).
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Drive), Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), web conferencing tools (Zoom, Webex).
