Summary of Job Duties:

Assist with and manage research plantings and operations in plant breeding and fruit crops research under direction of project directors and Resident Station Director. This will include field work, lab work, data management and data analysis. Job duties will include but are not limited to plot maintenance, data collection, lab analysis of fruit, statistical analysis of data, preparing data reports, public speaking and leadership/management of technician and temporary help.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications
A B.S. degree in horticulture, entomology, plant pathology, crops soils and environmental sciences, agriculture, or other related discipline plus three years of related experience with horticulture crops OR a M.S. in horticulture, entomology, plant pathology, crops soils and environmental sciences, agriculture, or other closely related discipline.

Computer skills and ability to communicate well orally and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications
MS with at least 3 years of experience. Training/experience in small and tree fruit horticulture, plant breeding and pest management in fruit.
