USC's KSOM Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine/Broad CIRM Center is seeking a full-time Program Assistant to join its teams.  The Program Assistant will be primarily responsible for planning and implementation of services and activities specific to the Master of Science in Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine program.  These duties will include promoting the program, managing student applications, assisting students with registration and other paperwork, communicating with students about campus resources, assisting the Program Director with course management and student activities, assisting with graduation.  The individual will also join our administrative team in providing administrative support faculty and staff as needed. The team provides events coordination, facilities access, room reservations, office supplies management, special project coordination, sorting mail, errands, preparation of graduate assistant (GA) and student worker job offers, coordination of GA health fees setup, and maintaining/scan students’ documentation.

Job Responsibilities:

- Coordinates program services and/or activities for MS students and MS program faculty. Schedules classes, meetings and/or events. Provides leadership and guidance for students. Arranges with vendors for services. Ensures satisfactory follow through on assigned areas of responsibility.

- Provides client services by responding to inquiries and requests for information regarding the MS program curriculum and activities.

- Coordinates program services with other offices and staff on campus. Serves as a resource for program information. Represents program on university committees as requested.

- Coordinates production and distribution of program materials including recruitment materials, student activities, meeting agendas, program reports, informational materials, marketing materials, etc.

- Researches and gathers information for program purposes which may include: program effectiveness, client needs assessment, budget preparation, etc. Conducts preliminary analysis of data. Submits recommendations and prepares reports, as assigned.

- Assists in program budget preparation and administration. Researches costs. Tracks and monitors budget expenditures. Reports on variances.

- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.  The university reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.

Hourly rate: Depend on Experience
