The Program Assistant, under general supervision, provides standard program support.

What you need to know

Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire’s experience.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Experience:

  • Two years of related experience.

Required Licenses and Certifications:

  • Must have valid State of TX Driver’s license and have own reliable transportation for work purposes.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Verbal and written communication skills in Spanish & English (speaking, reading, & writing). 

  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

Preferred Experience:

  • At least 2 years related experience on research and project development.

  • Experience with curriculum development.

  • Experience with research project planning.

  • Public relations and marketing experience.

Preferred Licenses and Certifications:

  • Certified Spanish (MX) Translator/Interpreter


Responsibilities:

  • Program Assistance: Assist in the coordination of the “Be the Hero” program activities and reporting.

  • Program Development: Researches and recommends changes for the “Be the Hero” program’s curriculum.

  • Program Activities: Creates, establishes, and maintains “Be the Hero” program files, databases, correspondence, and program materials.

  • Program Communication: Assist in the coordination of “Be the Hero” program communication and marketing. Performs other duties as assigned.
