What we want

This position will assist with the development of proposals, coordinate research projects, and acquire resources and supplies to various research projects ongoing in the program. This position will plan and oversee various project activities to ensure that the goals are met in a timely fashion. This also includes assisting with various paperwork necessary for personnel, handle email/phone communications delegated by the organization, verify and submit receipts, arrange logistics for visitors, organize group meetings, and provide day-to-day administrative support as required by the program. Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of spreadsheet, database, presentation and word processing software programs
  • Interpersonal and communications skills
  • Ability to plan and organize effectively
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior experience working in an academic/research environment

Responsibilities:

  • Marketing - Serves as a point of contact for program information and coordinates responses to requests for program information. Assists with University brand guidance, Outreach, Marketing. Coordinates with and advises Marketing and Communications with the management of projects, and provide oversight. Evaluates submissions, helps develop content, coordinates material, and ensures overall compliance with publishing style guidelines for the program.
  • Maintain File & Data - Creates, establishes and maintains program files, databases, correspondence and program materials. Assists with committee meetings and materials.
  • Personnel Management - Provides oversight for welcome desk activities, developing, and monitoring office procedures to streamline the flow of front desk operations. Assists with the management of student worker assistants for the assigned program.
  • Administrative Support - Tracks and monitors program budget. Performs administrative and clerical support for the assigned program, including preparing memos, correspondence, proposals, and reports.
  • Promotional Materials - Assists with the design of websites, brochures, flyers, and other promotional materials for assigned program. Distribute promotional materials in a timely manner.
  • Event Management - Assists in coordinating logistics and travel for program seminars, workshops, orientations and other special events. Performs other duties as assigned.
