Job Summary:


The New Student & Family Programs (NSFP) area sits within the Division of Student Affairs at Gonzaga University. NSFP ensures students and families are holistically connected to the university and equipped to navigate development to success. The Program Assistant for New Student & Family Programs will manage the office operations for this area, supporting orientation programming, Fall Family Weekend programming, and family engagement and first year transition programming. The position is the first point of contact for the office and performs a wide range of administrative and budget duties in support of department members. The position develops and maintains strong professional relationships and works collaboratively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders including families of Gonzaga students.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate intricate job-related processes to internal and external customers;
  • Microsoft Office Suite skills; Ability and disposition to learn new computer programs as they emerge;
  • Maintain composure in fast-paced work environment;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities with frequent interruptions;
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately input data into various systems
