Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Program Assistant, Boca Raton, FL.

Summary of Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for assisting faculty and faculty candidates with travel reimbursements.  Will do travel arrangements on request. 

  • Responsible for assisting faculty and adjuncts with book orders.  Responsible for coordinating Lending Library check-in/check-out for students.

  • Assist with School events such as EXPLORE, Choose FAU, Heart of Social Work, MSW Induction Ceremony

  • Work with MSW coordinator on GRA/GTA applications received each semester. Assist BSW coordinator with BSW applications and acceptance letters.

  • Assist in ordering supplies, forms and equipment for use of the office. Processes and verifies accuracy of vendor invoices. Assists in departmental requisitions.

  • Assist with assigning duties to student employees. 

  • Responsible for checking social work website each semester for errors and updates needed.

  • Responsible for School of Social Work recruitments series. Includes ordering of room set-ups, designing or ordering of posters. Creating informational packets for incoming School of Social Work advisees. Primary contact for all scheduling request from other departments.

  • Answers routine telephone and mail inquiries regarding graduate and undergraduate programs. Greets college visitors and supplies them with general college information.

  • Assist with processing licensure letters for MSW graduates; Assist in preparation for Field Instructor Supervisory Training by logging and assisting attendees with registration and payment.

  • Opens and distributes all incoming mail, prepares office correspondence, updates and maintains filing lists.

  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

A high school diploma and four years of experience required.
Responsible for meeting the Requirements of Section 215.422, Florida Statutes, as amended, regarding the approval and/or processing of vendors' invoices and/or distribution of warrants to vendors, required.

Salary:

16.43 per hour.
