We are looking for a Program Aide to support data engineering, management, and analysis on lab projects. Applicants should have a master’s in computer science with experience on projects that involve telemonitoring and machine learning. Well qualified applicants will have strong programming skills in languages such as SAS, R, Python, and Java. What you need to know

In accordance with the federal contractor vaccination mandate , specific facilities at The Texas A&M System may be considered a covered contractor workplace with covered contractor employees. Required Education and Experience:

  • MS in computer science

  • MS thesis in data science, machine learning, or related areas

  • Experience on working on telemonitoring projects

  • Experience on working on machine learning methods

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • At least two courses in machine learning

  • At least 1 year of experience working on health data science projects

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • SAS, R, Python, Java, telemonitoring, machine learning

Responsibilities:

  • Research related-duties - Designing health economics database studies, and conducing the full research including, data management and analysis.

  • Dissemination related-duties - Writing reports, papers, and proposals based on analysis.

  • Administrative/Mentoring Duties - Administrative duties such as project management, IRB applications, assisting with classes as needed, mentor students in the lab and consulting on economics data intensive projects. Performs other duties as assigned.
