What we want  

Texas A&M Health is looking for a Program Aide to serve as a member of the Texas A&M School of Public Health. The Program Aide will be assisting the Principal Investigator with conducting research in the field of Oxygen Evaluation Reaction (OER) activity; specifically how ferrate and ferric oxide particles would influence the Prussian blue analog (or metal-organic framework) induced OER activity. The successful applicant will assist the Principal Investigator with conducting research in the field of Oxygen Evaluation Reaction (OER) This person must be professional, enjoy working in a high-volume environment and be able to apply strong organizational skills while being flexible in their daily routine. What you need to know

Salary: Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire’s experience.

Position Details: This is a part-time, temporary position and is contingent on research funding.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Master's degree

  • Two years laboratory experience

Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Doctoral degree

  • Two years laboratory experience

Responsibilities:

  • Research Laboratory Experiments - Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, the employee will conducts kinetics and products measurements of oxidation of pollutants of concerns by peracetic acids.

  • Research Study and Analysis - Explore the mechanism of the selective reactions. Assist in performing fundamental study on remediation processes to improve water quality.

  • Manuscript Writing - Write manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journals. Perform other duties as assigned.
