The School of Public Heath, Epidemiology & Biostatistics is looking for a Program Aide to assist with project support We desire an individual who subscribes to and supports our commitment as stated above. The successful applicant will bring an expert level of online program design experience to the position and understand the demands of supporting center staff and faculty in a fast-paced environment. This person must be professional, enjoy working in a high-volume environment and be able to apply strong organizational skills while being flexible in their daily routine. Job Description Summary: The Program Aide is responsible for project support including managing research supplies and maintaining inventory of research supplies, shipping and receiving packages, general administrative support, and deployment. This person should be able to work on a flexible schedule and accommodate unanticipated schedule changes.

Required Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Required Experience:

  • Experience in operating and driving automotive vehicles
  • General office procedures including filing, organizing, and searching for materials
  • Travel required

Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent driving record
  • Able to carry or lift heavy objects from the floor or overhead  
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
  • Able to accommodate unanticipated schedule changes
  • Work beyond normal offices hours and/or work on weekends.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in packaging and shipping
  • Assisting professionals in academic settings
  • Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications
  • Experience working with diverse individuals and communities

Job Responsibilities:

  • General Administrative Support-Provide administrative support.
  • Respond to general emails and calls.
  • Assist with book shelving and filing documents.
  • Assist with preparing purchase orders with vendors and procuring research supplies.
  • Initiate and review purchase requisitions in AggieBuy.
  • Assist with moving and retrieving materials.
  • Assist with training student workers.
  • Plan and coordinate meetings and activities.
  • Logistics and Inventory Management-Manage office and research supplies and maintain inventory.
  • Prepare and package research materials.
  • Ship, receive, and stock research materials.
  • Manage the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies. T
  • racks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Deployment-Assist with planning itineraries.
  • Drive a vehicle to transport PI or supplies to and within the deployment area.
  • Other Duties as assigned.
