The Health Science Center (HSC) is looking for a Program Aide to serve as a member of the Texas A&M School of Public Health. We desire an individual who subscribes to and supports our commitment as stated above. Job Summary: The Program Aide, under general supervision, provides support to a faculty member with research projects including but not limited to, literature reviews, derivation of statistical models, programming and writing manuscripts.
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
- Experience working with diverse individuals and communities
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience with ANOVA type Gaussian process model.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review the literature in the past 10 years on Gaussian process models with qualitative and quantitative inputs.
- Derive and finalize the framework of an ANOVA type Gaussian process model with functional outcome variables with quantitative independent variables, where qualitative inputs will be set to group variables.
- Between group and within group variations will be investigated as functions of the quantitative inputs.
- Based on a program written by the faculty member, employee will finalize the program, document key variables and procedures, and write a software user guide.
- Assist the faculty member to finalize a statistical paper for publication.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
